Fillmore Hospitality, LLC took over management of the MileNorth Hotel Chicago located in the city’s popular River North neighborhood. The Ohio-based company plans to renovate the boutique hotel into a modern destination for both leisure and corporate travelers, according to a news release.

“Guests love the fact that MileNorth’s guest rooms are so large, averaging 450 sq. ft.,” said Tom Goodwin, president of Fillmore Hospitality. “Fillmore plans to reposition MileNorth with an extensive $12 million renovation which will provide a dramatic new and completely up-to-date product for our guests.”

Located at 166 E. Superior St. in the River North area, the MileNorth Hotel Chicago is within walking distance of the Magnificent Mile, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Navy Pier, the Theatre District, and the John Hancock Building. The 215-key hotel incorporates 3,000 square feet of meeting and event space, as well as 52Eighty, Chicago’s tallest rooftop lounge.

Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, living room-style lobby, valet parking, and high-speed internet access. Guestrooms feature free Wi-Fi access, mini refrigerators, as well as oversized windows with views of the city.

According to the news release, Fillmore is also planning new urban-style hotels in Nashville, New Orleans, Dallas and Los Angeles, totaling almost $200 million in new development activity.
